“I always had a Web site from Day 1, back in 1999,” remembers Wendy Rouleau of Portraits by Wendy in Buford, Ga. “But it was pretty bad and hard to manage.”
So how did she garner a tie for the 2007 AN-NE Marketing Awards’ Best Web Site? She realized that she needed an outside resource and hired a talented firm to transfer her ideas online. It was a big decision, and when Wendy first heard the price quoted for re-creating her site, she about fell over. “But I decided that this was too important to do halfway. Give your Web site first place in your marketing. Then, add on with other pieces.”
